Overall I would definitely recommend you pick this game up. Also the ending kind of sucks but I've heard that it is from the original game so can't fault nightdive for that. Bought the game and essentially binged it for my entire 15 hour playthrough. Overall, not a perfect game, but very fun nonetheless with really cool setpieces, cool enemies, and fun puzzles that most of the time aren't too frustrating. Game is very heavy in resource management, and you'll never really feel like you have a lot of anything except for maybe in the last level because they throw a lot of items your way. Also, as far as I know, you can't change any difficulties once you start your game, so keep that in mind too. Even with combat on 1, you'll probably die a fair bit, so keep that in mind when you play. I still hate the 1980s gay club art style and lighting, something closer to the more realistic SS2 look would help the vibe a lot, but admittedly the original wasnt a highlight of immersion either so Im willing to give it a pass. Prepare to be frustrated at times in the game, as sometimes it feels unfair and it can be really hard to figure out where you're supposed to go next (I played the game all on 2's except for combat which I had on 1). With the successful Kickstarter, Nightdive Studios anticipated a December 2017 release for the game. Surely Nightdive couldve figured something out Or not. Also rewards exploration a lot, but sometimes not as much as I felt like it should have. If you like cyberpunk games or games that tell story through the atmosphere and collectibles, you'll like this game. The project began as a Kickstarter in 2016 from Nightdive Studios, a company that has made a name for itself with its work on various classic game remakes and remasters. The game isn't without it's flaws, but its pretty good.
